In summary
If you're looking for the absolute cheapest parking options before your Fort Lauderdale cruise, then it's hard to beat a third-party park and cruise company. Note that this will add extra travel time to and from the port, so allow yourself a few extra minutes. For the cheapest option at $8 per day, that's about half the price of staying in a cruise port garage.
If practicality and time are a bigger factor, then simply leaving the vehicle at the port itself makes more sense. As soon as your cruise is over, you don't have to wait for transportation and squeeze into a van with 10 other cruisers. You simply go to your car and drive away. However, a 7-day cruise will cost around $120 because you have to include an extra day when you get off the ship.
If you're already planning to ride your cruise and stay in a hotel, then a park and cruise hotel package might be just what you're looking for. Even if you just want to use the hotel parking lot and take your own Uber or taxi to the port, using a hotel package will save a little on your cruise budget.
Parking at the Fort Lauderdale airport costs $15 per day, so it's roughly the same cost as parking at the cruise port itself.
Whatever you choose, we hope you have a fantastic vacation and save a few bucks along the way. Remember, sometimes convenience is worth the extra money.
